Weight Gestures for Now
I'm still trying to fight off getting completely sick. Looks like I am able to hold the evil viruses at bay for now. Wait till the calvary arives for yet a third night in a row: NyQuil. Was out Friday and Saturday, trying to rest as much as I could. Didn't really get a chance to work on this till today.
My computer is being super retardedly slow today (it always is when I go on Blogger for some reason). It always loads up to 38% then stops for a really long time. Maybe my computer's pushing its last limits. But here are 8 quick weight "poses" / gestures. Hopefully it uploads in time. I'll probably try to work on more later.

Third Time's A Charm
I know my right wall is a bit... slanted (didn't notice till after I scanned it). It's ok. Easily fixable. Sorry I haven't done much for a while... been sick the past few days.. my immune system has been trying to fight off the forces of evil. Anyways, I hope I at least have the right idea down. If not then well.. practice practice and practice some more is in my near future.
Been working on a comic-book-like page (not quite done with it yet) for practice with composition. I used to have my own crappy little comic series I made up back in the day (high school) so it feels a bit weird to revisit and draw it again. I'll get that up as soon as I finish.
See everyone in class~

Happy Bouncy Ball Animation
I actually had a lot of fun with this. I was super proud when I finished. (Or maybe I'm just really happy to make something move in 3-D.)^_^
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

2-D Bouncing Ball of Doom
Well.. not of doom, but it was pretty fun to do.
This is a first attempt at drawing the bouncing ball plan... I hope to draw another one with a little more life in it (rather than it just rolling off a cliff). (BTW... the ball will continue to roll slowly till just past where it first bounces off the ground when it comes to a stop. Forgot to draw the arrow pointing ---> )
Quote and Gesture (First of All...)
"He (the artist) moves through life as he finds it, not passing negligently the things he loves, but stopping to know themn, and to note them down in the shorthand of his sketch book... He is looking for what he loves, he tries to capture it. It's found anywhere, everywhere. Those who are not hunters do not see these things. The hunter is learning to see and to understand-- to enjoy." ~Robert Henri (A quote from The Animator's Sketchbook reading)
This was actually drawn on the 11th. I went down to the Japanese Tea Garden near my dorms and decided to sit down and draw the fish (or whatever was around me). So I did. Animals are hard to draw (this past weekend I tried drawing birds.. and they kept flying away or moving) but the fish on the top right swam kinda slow as if it were posing for me (haha). I think that one's my favorite out of the others (nicknamed him "pudge"... okay after the Lilo and Stitch Pudge the Fish).

First Maya Assignment (updated)
:: UPDATE ::
And here are the updated Maya Images. Had help from Art (making my bricks glow), so thanks for that! Anyways i decided to keep the old images so people can see how they look with and without lighting.

Here come the bricks! I wanted to do something different and, originally, I had the idea of doing a dragonfly... and I guess it turned out into a pillar being surrounded by floating bricks. go figure.. hm. Anyways, this is just a first post of the brick images. When I have the lighting and such all done, I'll replace these with the finished products.
More to come soon.
